Fading into the Blue

Fading into the Blue
Dark indigo fades into lighter blue hues as the mountain ranges extend into the distance, while a heavily textured sky is marbled with gold and matching blues. The limited palette allows the different textures to take center stage.
This landscape is painted with slow-drying acrylics on a 6"x8" natural maple art board, with a keyhole on the back for easy hanging with a simple nail or screw. The sides are painted in corresponding white and blue. The entire painting is finished using professional grade gloss varnish for preservation. The painting is initialed in the bottom right corner, with full signature, date, and title on the back.
